Towing FAQs

FAQ #1: Why does it cost that to tow a car?
Answer: Towing rates are based on the cost of doing business with the key ingredients being truck cost $75,000.00 Plus, for light duty tow trucks today, plus all the misc. tools and equipment. Insurance including vehicle, liability and medical or fringe benefits for the operator and fuel cost. Maintenance such as oil, tires, hydraulic oil filters, wire rope chains, etc. This is also overhead cost such as dispatcher, manager, radio & cell costs, and the largest cost is for drivers' wages.

 

FAQ #2: Do you charge storage?
Answer: Yes - $25.00 per calendar day.

 

FAQ #3: Do you unlock vehicles for free?
Answer: No. The only exception is that we will unlock a vehicle for free if it has a child trapped inside.

 

FAQ #4: Do you perform air bag recovery?
Answer: Yes. We have several towing companies that have performed air bag recoveries that we can utilize anytime.

 

FAQ #5: What are your hours to pick up vehicles?
Answer: 8:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Monday - Friday
9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Saturday
Closed - Sundays

 

FAQ #6: Can you tow motor homes?
Answer: Yes. We have a heavy duty under reach with various attachments that enable us to tow an RV damage free.

 

FAQ #7: Do you take credit cards?
Answer: Yes.
We can except credit cards both at our office and on the road. At the moment we do not except Debit Cards as we are having technical problems with them.

 

FAQ #8: Do you have heavy duty off road recovery?
Answer: Yes. We have "THE BEAST" for those types of recovery jobs.

 

FAQ #9: Do you tow long distance?
Answer: Yes. We have towed vehicles from as far away as Florida, New York, Wisconsin, North Dakota, Illinois, Ohio, Indiana, North Carolina and Canada.

 

FAQ #10: Do you perform accident recoveries anywhere in the state?
Answer: Yes, or we can locate a reputable tower anywhere in the state or the country through the Michigan Towing Association Membership Directory or the Towing and Recovery Association of America (TRAA) memberships.

 

FAQ #11: Are you drivers certified?
Answer: Yes. We have trained and certified operators from Wreckmaster and Ross Kinman's.

 

FAQ #12: Is your impound lot secured?
Answer: Yes. We have a fence surrounding the impound yard with video surveillance cameras outside and inside our building.
